I realize I did not know Mike personally, but the memories I have of him as an entertainer will never fade.

Mike was a personal favorite wrestler of mine. I even went through the trouble over the years to find tapes of some his overseas bouts.

I have been a fan of pro wrestling since I was five years old, and almost no one has ever captivated me like Mike did.

My condolences to all of his friends and family.

I know this sounds cliche considering his previous career but, rest in peace Mike.

Mike Awesome was truely awesome. My most favorite rememberance of him was when he was "That 70's Guy" and one match i thought was cool that he was in was "That 70's Guy" Mike Awesome vs. The late, great Bam Bam Bigelow in an Ambulance match back in WCW when Bam Bam fell through the roof of the ambulance after Mike hit him with the lights. Mike will be missed very dearly

Alfonso, Bolea, Brian, Mark and Jerry. Five guys who were too cool to say how much they loved each other but showed it in ways only brothers would understand. Mike is my brother, my Best Man who threatened to tie me to a tree to keep me from getting married but stood beside me and kept me from falling during the whole ceremony. Time and distance never removed you from my thoughts.

Mike was a great inspriation and a great wrestler. I will never forget the two hours he took out of his day to talk to my brother and I at a wrestling event in 2001. He showed class and showed that he cared about the fans. No other wrestler has showed that to any of their fans they are too quick to leave the arena or to get back into the arena. He will be missed and I am glad that I was able to meet him. Its rare to come across great human beings and Mike was one of them.

Mike, you were the nicest big man. Always had big smile on your face. As a wrestler, you were excellent. You spoke pretty Japanese even. I miss you so much. Say hi to other guys who left here early.

Mike- We knew you for such a short period... we only wish it could have been longer. The one thing that did stand out about you though, was how genuine & true you were. You were a great friend , a loving father, a son blessed by two wonderful parents. You left such an impact on so many peoples lives ...those who knew you here & those so far away. Your wrestling career left a legacy for you to your fans through your kindness, character, & smiles. YOUR GENUINE LOVING FRIENDSHIP WILL BE OUR LEGACY FOR A LIFETIME. When it rains outside & we hear the song"Holes in the floor of heaven", we will always think of you more & our tears will flow..GOD BLESS
